By train: From the South West, travel to Castle Cary station and then bus or taxi to Wells. From other areas, it’s easiest to catch a train to Bristol Temple Meads, then the number 376 bus to Wells Bus Station. Parking: There is usually ample free parking outside 7 Welsford Avenue. For the museum, there is limited free parking on Cathedral Green on Sundays and ample parking in the car parks in Union Street, South Street and Whiting Way. The daily rate is £5.30.
By Air: To Bristol International Airport, then airport express coach service number 330 to Bristol Bus Station. This journey takes about 45 minutes. Then follow the directions under “By Bus”.
